As a service to design researchers, the Society’s extensive archives are lodged with the Archive of Art & Design dept. of the Victoria and Albert Museum, at Blythe Road, London, W14 0QE.
The Archives cover the history of the British Display Society over 50 years, such as the development of retail display in the U.K. and elsewhere, illustrative matter, personality profiles, reports, past magazines & trade journals, photographs of shop windows and exhibitions, reviews, etc.
A simple catalogue of current holdings is available from the BDS office at a cost of £5 to cover packing, postage.
