Approval Scheme

Welcome to the BDS Approval Scheme

The BDS Approval Scheme is designed for those BDS members who wish to display a Kitemark accreditation from the BDS for their self-employed business or company.

Products and services which can benefit from BDS accreditation include any companies or individuals who supply or manufacture goods relating to the display industry. The BDS Approval Scheme is awarded per year and all Scheme members must renew to keep the Kitemark.

The annual cost for membership:
There is an administration charge for the first year of £50.
Individual person: £50.00
Self-employed or private Company £100.00
Limited Company ( 5 employees or less ) £150.00
Limited Company ( 20 employees or less ) £250.00
Limited Company ( 20 or more employees ) £450.00

Membership is open only to members of the BDS except for students. In addition to the appropriate BDS membership fee there is a once only administration charge followed by an annual charge. Anyone not a member of the BDS may apply to join at the time of applying to join the Approval Scheme

The BDS can only Approve a person/company with the relevant qualifications also they must be up to date on their BDS Subscriptions.

Non payment of the annual charge and/or annual subscription will result in the BDS approval Kitemark being withdrawn.

If the BDS (Approval Scheme) member brings the BDS into disrepute then there Approval Scheme membership will be withdrawn.

All applications must be accompanied by three business references related to their profession or business.

Please note you will be asked to submit a CV or Portfolio when you complete this form. Please have them ready before filling in the form. You will also require the details of three VM/work related referees.
